Prakash Nambiar (b. 1976) founded the company in the year 2001. An architect by education, he started by formal multimedia education but his potential was noticed by the training institute head and soon he found himself in the R & D department, where he developed course material for Flash, 3D Max, Combustion, After Effects etc. for the trainers and also was incharge of training the faculty of the institute.
Later on he moved on to Image Software and solutions and imparted training to corporates and software professionals on various software’s. He was also the speaker at the launch of Macromedia Ultradev product in India. Later he joined Purple Image Technologies as a Team Leader and executed several multimedia and animation projects. His aim being to develop an animation film, he quit Purple Image and formed Kathaa Animations in the year 2001. Since then, he has been involved in creating more than 100 projects for various clientele in different sectors. In 2004, he bagged the development of Hum Tum, the animated characters, which went on to become one of the most popular Indian cartoon characters for which Kathaa was awarded the coveted Star Screen Awards for Best Animation/ Special Effects. He has also been involved in creating various Intellectual Properties for animation, Film (Documentary and Shorts), and Corporate presentations. He has also written the script for Mighty Babies, an animation film for another Animation Studio.

Mohan Bari (b. 1973) He completed his graduation in Production Engg. and - joined M&M (jeep division) in the engine assembly division as a Shift in-charge. After a brief stint at Mahindra’s he decided to pursue further studies for Post Graduation in Marketing Mgmt.
Later he joined UTV as a senior Production Executive in the Digital Dept. Though interested in developing a career in Marketing, in the year 1997, he gradually developed his passion towards Animation. This made him deeply involved with the work process , which seemed more interesting than a marketing portfolio. Within a years time, he was promoted as the H.O.D (animation checking) where he worked for 5 yrs. He was immensely involved in projects for international biggies like SPI International (Dr. Disaster.), Cine Group ( Bad Dog.) , Walt Disney ( The Legends of Rings of Fire.) , FunBag ( For Better or for worse.) , Animata Productions ( The Wetlands Adventure.) and many more. Also had a contribution in commercials like Kellogs Chocos , Raid ,Title Animation for the film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan”. etc……
An amazing experience with the production team and an eminent urge to grow boosted his confidence of starting an enterprise of his own.
During this tenure, he was involved in the successful completion of Digital Ink & Paint of Tenali Rama for Crest Communications (12 episodes.) He was also involved in the Digital Ink and paint for the film Hum Tum which received widespread critical acclaim.

Akshat Rathee (b. 1978) is the Financial Advisor and Board Member of Kathaa Animation. He is also the Managing Director of the NODWIN Group and has over 7 years of work experience. In the past Akshat has worked with well known companies such as Ernst & Young, IBM Consulting and Columbia Tristar.
Akshat has extensive experience in Business Risk Assessment, Process Designing, Optimization and Reviews of various companies across industries such as Media, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals & Financial Services. Akshat has built a successful advisory practice at NODWIN for companies looking for Equity funding from HNIs, Angel Investors, Venture Capitalists and Private Equity players.
He has traveled extensively to attend and address various Indian and International conferences including MIPCOM and MIPTV at Cannes and the USABF conference in USA.
Akshat is a Computer Engineer from the Manipal Institute of Technology and an MBA in International Business and Finance from ENPC, Paris.
